Why did I joined this class?

I love watching films and I love making my own films. My problem is: I hate it staying the whole time at the same level. Good. Better. Best. I want to improve my skills and get more professional. Besides that I don't have the opportunity to do something incredible like that in Germany.

 

What do I want to get out of this class?

Experience. This is a completely new level for me and I first have to get on to this level. I would be happy if I could come home with faster editing skills, more creative ideas, more professional shots, a better knowledge about the technical stuff like camera, light and sound settings and in general more fun at making films.

 

What do I know about CINEMATOGRAPHY?

All I know is, I love Cinematography. Cinematography is the combination of shooting and the process of images. For a good film you need everything, Light, Sound, Images, Actors, Directors, Producer, Filmeditor, etc. Cinematography includes them all. Correct me if I'm wrong but that's my opinion.

 

What do I want to know about CINEMATOGRAPHY?

Everything! At least I want to know how much work is behind all those litte films. How important are details and correcting mistakes?

 

What type of films would I like to make?

... action, thriller, fantasy, comedy, interviews, documentary, news, music videos, sport, ...AND whatever could be interesting and good to learn more about. But I prefer action, sport and comedy. Right now I'm mainly producing Travel Videos.

 

What are my three favorite movies?

HARRY POTTER (1-7/2); HP5; HP7/2

STAR WARS (1-7); SW7

BACK TO THE FUTURE (1-3)

 

What is my favorite movie genre?

Definitely fantasy, comedy and action. I hate horror.

 

What motivates me to work hard?

Mostly myself. Especially the fact that I'm a perfectionist. Always and everywhere I find some small mistakes, which make me feel like I did not good work. But at top of everything is the feedback of my family, friends and teachers. Wether it's positive or negative. This feedback give me reason why I'm doing all this stuff.

 

What are five things that I want to do now in my life?

Be happy with my life how it is.

Learn everyday new things.

Have fun and enjoy the day.

Become professional.

Get much better in filming.

 

What was my favorite subject in school?

After Cinematography it's Math, but a film class is absolutely more fun. Math is all around numbers (and variables). You have to understand it once and suddenly every daily problem (what has something to do with math) can be solved without any further problems.

 

What are the five words that best describes me?

Spontaneous. Independent. Open. Friendly. Sociable. (+Tall). (+German.)

 

Biggest Character turn-off for me?

I hate it when I can't trust or rely on someone.
